Triple S Red Angus :: A Family Operation
Triple S Red Angus is a family operation located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains west of Calgary. The ranch is owned and operated by Wayne and Donna Sibbald, along with their son, David, his wife Mary Beth, and grandsons, Dylan and Adam. Dave and Mary Beth live in the original ranch house that was built in late 1800's. It all started with Wayne & Donna Sibbald buying their first Registered Red Angus cows in 1972. The Sibbald ranch had been a commercial cow-calf operation prior to the introduction of into a newly formed beef breed of Red Angus. The step into registered cattle and becoming a seedstock herd for the beef cattle industry was an exciting challenge. As new Red Angus breeders we used our their knowledge and experience from commercial cow-calf ranching to select and breed Red Angus bulls and females as superior seedstock, and more importantly, to raise herd bulls to compliment the commercial beef cattle industry. Today the registered Red Angus cow herd consists of 300 head, annually offering 75 two-year-old and yearling bulls for sale at the Triple S Red Angus Bull Sale, held in High River, Alberta. We also maintain a 100 head of commercial cow-calf operation. Here at Triple S Red Angus, we remain excited and inspired about the changes that continue to evolve within the Canadian and global beef cattle industry. We are ready to continually meet the challenges with the same breeding philosophy and values we have always upheld. Since 1972, we have established a tradition of producing superior Red Angus seedstock and Triple S remains as a breeding program you can depend on and trust. |
